Construction continues on 6 Habitat for Humanity homes in Stanton – Orange County Register
Habitat for Humanity Orange County continues to make progress on six new townhouses in Stanton.
Work on Cerritos Avenue homes, which when completed will be an affordable option for eligible families, was spurred this week by the sweat of Wells Fargo employees, as well as two grants totaling $ 30,000 from the Wells Fargo Builds initiative.
âHousing affordability is really important to our business and making sure people have access to the dream of owning a home,â said Linda Nguyá» n, senior community relations consultant at Wells Fargo.
Bank employees helped install the siding and paint the exteriors, working with Habitat OC supervisors.
Currently, Habitat OC has three projects under development in Orange County in addition to Stanton, two in Santa Ana and one in Costa Mesa.
Since 2000, Wells Fargo has donated $ 1.1 million to help build Habitat homes in Orange County.
The Stanton houses are expected to be completed in February; property applications are accepted on habitatOC.org.
