Freedonia analyst looks into Holcim’s purchase of Malarkey Building Products

CLEVELAND, January 21, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Holcim, one of the world’s leading producers of cement, ready-mix concrete and other building materials, recently announced that it plans to acquire Malarkey Building Products, one of leading suppliers of asphalt shingles, low-slope bituminous roofing and related roofing accessory products, for $1.3 billion. The transaction, which is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022, will expand Holcim’s presence in the United States.
