Firefighters say the cause of the blaze remains unknown.

Isaac Smith, co-owner of Matt’s Building Materials, says most of the damage was done to the store, but some areas of the property were left untouched.

“We have our yard where we operate all of our lumber and plywood sales. The siding – which was still salvageable – and we have a lot of vehicles that were salvageable, ”Smith said.

The owners say their employees will have jobs to return to on Monday, saying they plan to pick up the pieces and move on.

“We just have to get back to it and get back to what we’re doing and keep serving the community, keep providing building materials, great products,” Smith said. “Building positive relationships with the people around us and this is what we have been doing for 50 years and this is what we will continue to do.”

Authorities said no one was injured in the blaze and no nearby homes or businesses were damaged.
