Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. Completes $61 Million Woodcrest Apartment Building Project
Racanelli Construction Company, Inc. (Melville, NY, www.racanelliconstruction.com), a
a leading construction management, general contractor and design/build resource for commercial, industrial, retail, medical, pre-engineered and multi-unit residential projects, recently completed construction of a multi-unit apartments located at 2930 Rockaway Avenue in Oceanside, New York, steps from a Long Island Railroad station and waterfront shopping and dining. The project was built on behalf of owner Woodcrest Village Park Associates (New York, NY). Racanelli Construction acted as construction manager.
The 249,246-square-foot, four-story H-shaped luxury apartment building with 230 units features studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments. Featured, spacious floor plans with open kitchens. Luxury appointments such as wide floor coverings, custom shaker cabinets in kitchens and bathrooms, Caesarstone quartz pebble stone kitchen countertops, semi-gloss white subway tile backsplashes , matte ash gray bathroom floor tiles with white hexagon mosaic shower floors and solar blinds. are just some of the luxury features of the building. The building also includes amenities such as an outdoor terrace, as well as several community halls, fitness rooms and yoga rooms. The property is beautifully landscaped and has a great walk to a gazebo overlooking the Mills Pond River.
As construction manager of the project, Racanelli Construction managed all aspects of the
Woodcrest apartment building project, from scratch. This included excavation, foundations, concrete, masonry, steel, rough and finish carpentry, insulation, cabinets, countertops, drywall, Benjamin Moore paints, carpets, tiles , wallpaper and bathroom accessories. The company also handled the installation of Kohler plumbing and sanitary fixtures, electrical systems, Mitsubishi heating and cooling systems, fire alarms and sprinklers, intercom system, elevators, roofing , James Hardie siding, large Marvin windows and doors, and all LGs and GEs. appliances, as well as all landscaping.
The project, which began in September 2018, was significantly delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent downturn, as well as required safety measures.
The $61 million project was led by Racanelli Construction team members Nicholas H.
Racanelli as Project Director, Charles Kozikowski as Senior Project Manager, and John Lopusnak as Deputy Project Manager. Other key contractors involved in the project were: United Electric, K.
